Weekly Report Magazine from 1931-1933

Description

VOILA, the weekly report magazine bound in hardcover with soft covers preserved. Dimensions: 32 x 43 cm. 16 pages per issue, some fringed leaves, overall well-preserved, covers kept, from n°3 of 1931 to n° 145 of 1933. Published by Publications ZED, founded by Gaston Gallimard, the magazine was led by Joseph and Georges Kessel, and later Florent Fels, with a circulation of around 350,000 copies. It features a photomontage cover, printed in black and white with heliogravure photographic reproductions. Notable contributors include Albert Londres, Joseph Kessel, Louis Roubaud, and Georges Simenon. The magazine ceased publication at the onset of World War II, resuming briefly in 1950 before disappearing.
