This one, one of the 425 copies of the amber vellum edition from Moirans, here number 372. A very fine allegorical exemplar; La Jeune fille aux joues roses, performed at the Sarah‑Bernhardt Theatre in March 1919, is also a fairy‑tale symbolising the struggle between love that delivers, creates, and is essentially Life, the divine, and the cult of the cold Method where thought freezes, the rigid Form represented by its faithful adherents, the grey faces, which is nothing other than Death.
