A touching testament by a young teacher from Lot & Garonne. This set includes 2 volumes of about 450 pages each, beautifully bound in half-morocco with corners, measuring 13.5 x 20.5 cm. Entirely handwritten in fine and regular script. The inner condition is well preserved, with some scribbles on the last two pages of one volume. Covers various subjects such as ancient and Roman history, French and English history, poetry, analyses, practical life, letters, literature, narrations, figures of style, grammar, mathematics, calculations, and rhetoric. Madame Nézida Mauroux, married to M. Dargelos in 1856, was born on July 25, 1834, in Le Passage, Lot et Garonne, and passed away on June 1, 1884, in Tarbes.
