Wear on headbands, corners, and hinges; fine half-morocco binding with gilt edges (signed Magnier). Three slightly misaligned leaves. Includes a study on Christian art by E. Cartier. Contains 180 black-and-white and bistre engravings (some fold-outs at the end), executed by Huyot père et fils, and 16 color chromolithographs after monuments from the catacombs to modern times. A charming copy.
