CASTELNAU (Junius). Essai sur la littérature romantique. Le Normant père, Paris, 1825. Octavo, VIII-296 pages, half-leather binding (period binding), scattered foxing. First edition. Long attributed anonymously, this work was assigned to Junius Castelnau by Pierre Jourda. According to Escoffier, this essay by an unidentified author represents a reworked memoir presented in 1820 to the Jeux floraux. The moderate tone confirms its 1820 composition date.
