Masson, 1875; 8vo, (4), XXVIII, 736 pp., half-leather binding, worn corners, some wear to caps, interior well preserved. Alphonse Laveran (1845-1922), professor of army diseases and epidemics at Val-de-Grâce, discovered the pathogenic agent of malaria and was called the 'creator of protozoan pathology.'
