Cardboard binding with cold-tooled ruled frames and richly decorated gilt medallion with crown. Rear cover adorned with cornucopias, cherubs, flowers, and arabesques. Spine decorated with floral motifs hot-stamped. Edges and corners rubbed; spine head split 4 cm at foot; sun-fading mark at lower edge of front cover. Colors somewhat faded, scattered foxing, though certain sections remain fresh. Two-column text, 560 columns paginated (230 pages). Superb and rich illustration with fine steel engravings throughout.
