Large quarto format, 551 pages with rubbed edges, illustrated with 12 steel engravings (7 present). Full brown leather binding with gilt-ruled panels, spine decorated with gilt compartments and fillets. Front cover features cold-stamped and gilt medallion of Lycée Impériale de Bordeaux; back cover bears complete coat of arms of the city.
