Rare set of 194 cards, (12 × 16 cm), black‑and‑white illustrations glued and mounted on a cardboard backing, (some pale discolorations, a few minor defects on the cardboard supports, more rarely on the image), circa 1890‑1900: foals, mares and stallions… containing a number of indications (not exhaustive each time) such as the horse’s name, its stud, stud farm, stables, mare‑yard, the sire’s and dam’s names, a brief physical description of the animal, its breed, year of birth, sometimes the rider’s name, or the owner, trainer, driver, the prizes, sometimes won… or its speed, its height.
