Period binding in half-basane leather with head cap loss and worn corners, approximately 400 pages per volume in continuous pagination. 94 colored fashion engravings outside text, some fold-out on heavy paper (some uniformly foxed), 9 colored plates of flowers and animals, plus numerous black fashion engravings, some also fold-out, engraved portraits, illustrated riddles, embroideries. Condition: 2 leaves with cuts but no loss, partial loss on one black fold-out plate, half missing from 2 colored fold-out plates, 5 text leaves heavily damaged, 4 leaves nearly detached, minor margin cuts on about ten leaves. Interiors reasonably well preserved overall.
