Octavo, 403 & 8 pages, paperbound with split spine, protective wrapper, interior well preserved (would benefit from fine binding). After publishing a Collection of Russian genealogies in St. Petersburg in 1841, Prince Pierre-Vladimirovitch Dolgorouki fell into disgrace. He came to Paris shortly before 1860 and published this work, which resulted in confiscation of his property in Russia and perpetual banishment. A subsequent lawsuit with Prince Voronzoff forced him to leave France; he subsequently lived in Brussels or London.Related Products
