Accompanied by 4 completely autographed manuscript pages from April 1914 (preface manuscript for this book) and 2 autographed letters from the author to his friend Marcel, offering him these 4 handwritten pages. Charles Derennes (1882-1930) was a French writer, son of Gustave Derennes, extraordinary professor of history and Breton writer. He spent his childhood in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, studied at Talence gymnasium near Bordeaux, and later attended the Sorbonne. He was a prominent figure in early 20th-century French literary circles, contributing to periodicals and receiving the Archon-Desperouses Prize in 1907.
