Spanning from the regency of Marie de Médicis to the eve of the Revolution, this dynasty of painters exemplifies numerous artist families of the Ancien Régime. Daniel Hallé (1614-1675) made his mark in Paris and received prestigious commissions. His son, Claude-Guy (1652-1736), became director of the Academy of Painting and Sculpture, known for his rigorous compositions. His son Noël (1711-1781) achieved the most recognition, excelling across various genres. The Hallé family significantly influenced the evolution of art, taste, and the Salon in France. A beautiful copy. No shipments outside the European Union or to overseas territories.
