CAMACHO Jorge, BOUNOURE Vincent. Talismans. Surrealist Editions, 1967. (23 x 30 cm), 55 pp. Unbound sheets, uncut, cream publisher's cover with dust jacket in cardboard slipcase. Facing pages feature poems by Vincent Bounoure and illustrations by Jorge Camacho framed in colored circles, describing obverse and reverse of a medal. The poet and artist intended to "emblazon the female body." Printed in 651 numbered copies. This is an out-of-commerce copy on nacre Japan paper with dual inscriptions from poet and artist: "Copy for René Girard enhanced with the friendship of Vincent Bounoure and Camacho," enriched with 2 "Insertion notices" in beige and grey, written by José Pierre, titled "Desire heads and tails," augmented with 6 additional talismans engraved by etching (dated and signed JC VB) on 3 double-plates with intaglio motifs on Japan paper as well.
