Binding in half leather, rubbed edges, 24 x 31 cm. Published from December 1, 1832, to June 30, 1833, comprising 211 issues. The first page features an announcement for the daily edition, with two sheets cut in half but without missing pages. Some foxing, marginal cuts, and partial loss on 2 lithographs, one in color. Each issue bears the 'Francobollo reale' stamp, showing postal folds. Charivari was the first illustrated satirical daily newspaper, founded by Charles Philipon as a republican opposition to the July Monarchy, exhibiting varying political tones throughout its history. Key authors included Taxile Delord, Agenore Altaroche, with major caricaturists like Philipon, Nadar, and Honoré Daumier.
