Louis Reynaud, Professor of Literature at the Faculty of Clermont-Ferrand. The author examined Auguste-Guillaume de Schlegel's "Course of Dramatic Literature" (1802-1804 in Berlin, then 1808 in Vienna), attended by Madame de Staël, whose preface to "Cromwell" profoundly influenced French Romanticism.
