Paul Margueritte (February 20, 1860 in Laghouat, Algeria – December 29, 1918 in Hossegor, Landas) was a French writer and brother of Victor Margueritte. His two daughters, also novelists, published under the names Lucie Paul-Margueritte (1886-1955) and Ève Paul-Margueritte (1885-1971). Member of the Académie Goncourt, he championed women's equality and rights through his naturalist works including Les Quatre, La Confession Posthume, and Pascal Géfosse.
