Rare copy of this edition prefaced by Mussolini, reproducing the text of one of the first French translations of Machiavelli (J. Gohory, 1571), revised by Arnould-Grémilly who corrected errors and added several words. Mussolini's preface is the translation of "Preludio al Macchiavelli", published in 1924 in the newspaper "Gerarchia" which he founded. One of 1270 numbered copies on toned parchment paper.
