Collection of articles and essays on various historical figures: Constant, Mercœur, Turgot, Maurepas, Princess of Conti. As a mischievous and tireless writer and irreverent journalist, François GRILLE of Angers demonstrated throughout his life a genuine passion for public service. His various administrative careers were interrupted by positions that placed him at odds with those in power. His political and literary work was marked by a pursuit of social justice and the search for moderate humanism, which ultimately led to his fourth and final dismissal.
