Description
Set of six very small books bringing together texts by Florian, La Fontaine, Berquin, Démoustier, Millevoye and Voltaire, published in Paris by Marcilly around 1800. Each volume, paperback, contains 24 pages and is presented in a miniature format of 47 × 70 mm, characteristic of pocket editions or portable collections of the period. These works, probably intended for popular diffusion or cabinet reading, testify to the taste for fables, poetry and moral tales fashionable at the end of the 18th century. Their condition, as indicated, appears original, unbound, making them a modest but interesting specimen for collectors of small‑format antiquarian books and classic literature.
