First printing of the 11 plates (illustrations) by Gravelot engraved on steel by Duclos (2), Ghendt (3), Le Mire (2), Née (1), Rousseau (1) and Simonet (2). First edition of this prose translation by Marmontel, preceded by a preface and accompanied by abbreviated arguments at the beginning of each book
