Beate Barbara Juliane von Krüdener, a Baltic-German writer and Baroness, is known for her work 'Valérie'. This edition, published in 1878 by A. Quantin in Paris, is part of the 'Kleine Luxusbibliothek' collection. It is an octavo format book with a beautiful chagrin binding, featuring a small scratch on the joint. The work includes a preface by Parisot, engravings by M. Leloir, two fold-out pages with facsimiles, variants, and bibliography. The text is framed in red fillets and includes a frontispiece portrait protected by serpentine. The book consists of 336 pages printed on sturdy laid paper.
