The K.u.K. Officers' Daughters Education Institutes in Word and Image. Vienna, self-published by the k.u.k. Officers' Daughters Education Institute at Hernals, 1896. Oblong quarto format. Features 120 illustrations on 22 plates in photogravure, executed after original photographic documentation by the author. Photogravure reproduction by the k.u.k. Military-Geographic Institute in Vienna. Nine sections covering the Hernals institute, the sanatorium in Hirtenberg, and the k.u.k. Officers' Daughters Education Institute in Ödenburg. The institute traces its origins to October 6, 1786, when 30 girls relocated from Sankt Pölten to a former monastery building of the Pauline Hermits. In 1877, the institution came under the administration of the War Ministry and was organically connected with the reorganized Hernals institute under the patronage of Emperor Francis Joseph I.
