Numerous black illustrations in text and out of text by Chovin, Dufaux, Férat, Gosselin, Huot, Méaulle, Meyer, Monginot, Semechini, Vogel, and Zier, engraving by F. Méaulle. Attractive red publisher's binding with black and gold plaque on the front cover (signed Souze), decorated spine, second cover adorned with a black plaque, gilt edges, wear at headcaps, two corners slightly bumped, interior well preserved.
