OLLIVIER (Gabriel) compiles selected historical letters and documents from the archives of the princely palace, reproduced and commented on by order of H.S.H. Rainier III, sovereign prince of Monaco. Paris & Monaco, 1954. Three collections of double leaves in a folder, each tied with a golden cord. Size: 33 x 24 cm. Nine documents per volume: 1st part, from the Mandement of Louis III d'Anjou, King of Sicily (1421) to a letter from Anne of Austria (1650). 2nd part, from Jacques II, Duke of York (1650) to the ratification of the marriage contract of Louise-Hippolyte (1715). 3rd part, from Charles-Emmanuel I, King of Sardinia, letter to Honoré III (1741) to Marshal Foch, letter to Albert I of Monaco (1921). A lovely collection of important historical documents.
