4 autograph handwritten cards & a typed letter addressed to poet Fernand Gregh. Georges Lecomte, born in Mâcon in 1867 and died in Paris in 1958, was an influential novelist, playwright, and art critic, deeply involved in literary society and defense of writers' rights. He served as president of the Société des gens de lettres and was instrumental in protecting authors' interests. He was awarded the Vitet prize and became a member of the Académie française in 1924, later serving as its permanent secretary.
