First edition (Travaux et mémoires de l'Institut d'ethnologie, LVII). Masterly ethnological study devoted to a village in Seine-Maritime bordering Picardy. Published by the École pratique des Hautes Études. Nouville is the name of a commune of 613 inhabitants in 1946, situated on the Bresle, at the borders of Normandy and Picardy. Glass works have been established there since the late 18th century, and the village thus has a dual population, agricultural and working-class. Fine copy.
