FISQUET, Henri. Grand atlas départemental de la France de l'Algérie et des colonies. 106 copper-engraved maps by G. Lorsignol, with extensive explanatory text covering historical, physical, geographical, biographical, administrative, statistical, archaeological, descriptive, and monumental views. Published in Paris by Librairie Abel Pilon, Le Vasseur successeur, circa 1875. Two oblong folio volumes measuring 46 x 37.5 cm, beautifully bound in green half-morocco with green percaline boards decorated in gold. Some wear on the lower caps and fine cracks (3 cm) at the joints of the first volume, around ten frayed leaves, well-preserved interior, one large folding map with minor restoration at the base & one leaf with two cuts but no loss. First part - Departments: 93 color maps, two pages of text accompany each map. Second part - Algeria - French Colonies with statistical and biographical tables: XXXIV & 40 pp., maps numbered 94 to 106, - Notable People of France classified by Department and in alphabetical order, 124 pp. No shipping outside the European Union.
