Fine collection of three epistolary works attributed to DORAT, published in Paris by the printing house of Sébastien Jorry. Comprises: Letter of the Count of Comminges to his Mother, followed by a Letter from Philomène to Progné (1764, 68 pages); Letter of Barnevelet in his Prison to his Friend Tuman, preceded by a Letter from the Author (1763, 37 pages); Letter of Alcibiades to Glicère, Flower-seller of Athens, followed by a Letter from Venus to Paris and a Letter to the Mistress I shall have (1764, 36 pages). Full leather binding with minor wear to headcaps and blunted corners. Marbled edges. Delightfully decorated with 6 head vignettes, 4 tail-pieces (culs-de-lampe), and 4 engraved figures within the text.
