First original collective edition, illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author engraved on steel by Ch. Pye and 5 full-page engravings by Greathatch, Porbury and Watts, after Desenne. Volume 1: Méditations poétiques, La Mort de Socrate and Epîtres et poésies diverses. Volume 2: Nouvelles méditations poétiques, Le Dernier Chant du pèlerinage d'Harold and Le Chant du Sacre. The next 2 volumes contain the second edition of "Harmonies poétiques et religieuses" published by Gosselin in 1830.
