LAMARTINE (Alphonse de) Oeuvres Paris Jules Boquet, Gosselin, 1826 & 1830, in 8°, beautiful half-leather binding, slightly worn corners, XIX & 364, 417, 340 & 353 pp., scattered foxing. First original collective edition, illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author engraved on steel by Ch. Pye and 5 full-page engravings by Greathatch, Porbury and Watts, after Desenne. Volume 1: Méditations poétiques, La Mort de Socrate and Epîtres et poésies diverses. Volume 2: Nouvelles méditations poétiques, Le Dernier Chant du pèlerinage d'Harold and Le Chant du Sacre. The next 2 volumes contain the second edition of "Harmonies poétiques et religieuses" published by Gosselin in 1830.
