Christophe Jehan: sculpture and painting

Born in 1961, Christophe Jehan is a French artist. He studied architecture in Paris and, after graduating, practised the profession in the Caribbean while painting in his spare time. He later returned to France, settling in the southwest, where he dedicated himself entirely to painting.
His works fall within a figurative approach. The artist explores a playful and vibrant universe. In his sculptures as in his canvases, he captures scenes of life whose characters challenge our imagination. The artist gives them names and stories, which draw from all of life’s encounters. Thus, his colourful and animated canvases convey a profound sense of joy.
Christophe Jehan began exhibiting at markets before being discovered by a gallery that regularly showcases his work.
