Prosper MERIMEE's 'Carmen', illustrated by José de Zamora, published in Paris by Office français du livre in 1943. This grand in-8° edition (26 x 18.2 cm) features a paperback cover in a cardboard slipcase and box (missing one side), showcasing twenty original color compositions by José de Zalora, including 12 out-of-text. It is enhanced with a color suite (decomposition of the colors of one of the drawings). A well-preserved copy, one of 50 copies on Condat Cyrano paper, not for sale.
