René BILLOUX's chronological encyclopedia of graphic arts covers fundamental facts, key figures, and books and periodicals in France and abroad from 1470 to 1939. Published by BILLOUX (L.) in Paris in 1943, this paperback volume spans 305 pages and measures 24.5x31.5 cm. It includes 20,000 dates, numerous reproductions of ancient documents, and two-column text. Each page corner features a unique vignette depicting printing trades. Printed for the 500th anniversary of printing on alfa paper. Interior is fresh; cover in heliochromy shows rubbing at hinges but remains a fine copy. Shipments outside the EU incur additional fees.
