A tribute to Jorge Camacho's art

Editions Palantines, 2004, 28 x 22 cm, cloth binding, dust jacket, slipcase, 271 pp. Jorge Camacho, born January 5, 1934 in Havana, died March 30, 2011 in Paris, was a Cuban painter, draftsman, and engraver associated with surrealism, yet too little known in France where he spent much of his life. This work, written by Anne Tronche, former inspector of artistic creation at the Ministry of Culture and author of numerous books on contemporary art, pays tribute to him by tracing and commenting on his biography and explaining the many works that are photographed. Note that the book is bilingual French/Spanish. In short, a beautiful art book with its black cover and illustrated jacket, to better showcase this great painter whose works are present in museums around the world, particularly the modern art museum in Brussels, which I particularly appreciate.
