Octavo, half shagreen binding with corners, gilt edges, cracked joints, wear to headcaps, fresh interior, in publisher's slipcase, original dust jacket preserved, with full margins, XII-316 pages. First edition. Limited print run of 15 copies on Dutch paper, of which only the first seven were not sold commercially; this is copy no. 7. Includes 4 pages entirely handwritten by the author from April 1914 (manuscript preface to this book) and 2 autograph letters from the author to his friend Marcel, to whom he presents these 4 manuscript pages. Charles Derennes (1882-1930) was a French writer born in Villeneuve-sur-Lot and associated with Gascon literary circles.Related Products
