Engraving size: 83 x 125 mm, mounted on sturdy paper. Pierre de Loisy, a 17th-century French engraver, born circa 1575 and died circa 1640, served as an engraver for coins in Besançon and passed this position to his son Jean de Loisy. He produced plans, coats of arms, ex libris, and portraits. According to Bénézit, his son may be Pierre II Loisy (1619-1670), not Jean de Loisy.Related Products
