Louis Reynaud, Professor at the Faculty of Letters of Clermont-Ferrand. Original edition. The author studied, among other things, the “Cours de littérature dramatique” by Auguste-Guillaume de Schlegel, who taught in Berlin from 1802 to 1804, then in Vienna in 1808, before an audience where Mme de Staël could be noted. The ideas present in the preface to “Cromwell”, which had a great influence on French Romanticism, were found there.
