Four autograph manuscript letters and four autograph manuscript cards in the hand of Paul Hervieu, plus two autograph manuscript letters by Mme de Pierrebourg, one by Mme Béart de Bézert, and one by Émile Fabre. Paul Hervieu (1857–1915), French novelist and playwright, initially trained as a lawyer before turning to literature. A frequent guest at literary salons, he befriended figures like Marcel Proust and Octave Mirbeau. His works, blending psychological and social themes, often explore rigid moral conventions leading to dramatic outcomes. He also co-founded the publishing house La Librairie moderne.
