Fortunat Joseph Strowski de Robkowa (born in Carcassonne on May 16, 1866, died in Cervières on July 11, 1952) was a French literary historian, essayist, and literary critic. He was the brother of Stéphane Strowski, another French essayist noted for studying the Breton people. An alumnus of the École Normale (class of 1885), he taught at the Faculty of Arts in Paris, and is best known for his edition of Montaigne's Essays based on the 1588 version annotated by the author. He was elected a member of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques in 1926 and was a regular contributor to La Renaissance, a political, literary, and artistic review created in 1913 by Henry Lapauze, serving on the jury of the literary prize La Renaissance from 1921 to 1939, initially chaired by Léon Bérard and Mme Colette.
