Binding of the period demi-basane (half‑bast leather), a missing headband, rubbed corners, about 400 pp. per volume, in continuous pagination, 94 fashion engravings in colour outside the text, some of which are fold‑out on heavy paper (some uniformly rouged), 9 colour plates of flowers, animals, not counting the numerous black‑and‑white fashion engravings, some also fold‑out, engraved portraits, illustrated rebuses, embroideries… (2 leaves with cuts but no loss, partial loss on one black fold‑out plate, half of 2 colour fold‑out plates missing, 5 leaves of text heavily damaged, 4 leaves almost detached, a few cuts in the margins of about ten leaves), interiors fairly well preserved nevertheless.
