Large folio, 48 x 35 cm., 60 pp. & 24 fine collotype plates (plate no. 25 missing). Cloth-backed board portfolio with slightly rubbed corners. Interior clean. Depicts ancient Javanese sculpture and ethnographic artifacts from across the Dutch East Indies. Published for the Amsterdam colonial exhibition. Plates feature wooden statuettes, gold and bronze Buddhas, idols, weapons, shawls, cotton paintings, puppets, and more from Bali, Java, Sumba, Damar, and Borneo.
