History of the kingdom of France from the establishment of the monarchy until the reign of Louis. Published in Paris by Costard in 1771, this volume is bound in full calfskin with brick edges and blunt corners. It measures 13 x 20.5 cm and consists of 400 & 399 pp. plus a 12 pp. table. Note that the first volume is missing its title page, approximately ten leaves are offset, and there are some pen annotations in the margins of around twenty leaves. Overall, a very rare collector's item.
