First edition of this experimental and reasoned study of the Swedish system by Thure Brandt (1819-1895), who initiated gynecological physiotherapy 150 years before Arnold Kegel, proposing pelvic floor rehabilitation exercises. The book features figures drawn from photographs, where men's figures are used in place of women for the gymnastics exercises, likely due to modesty.
