MOREAU (J. N.) Memoir serving the History of the Cacouacs, followed by a supplement to the History of the Cacouacs up to the present day. Paris, at the Société Catholique des Bons Livres, 1828 – 12mo, 57 pp. + XXVI. 110 pp. Followed by statistics of the Catholic Church 1841 Lons le Saunier Gauthier by Abbé R***128 pp., detailing the time of the preaching of the gospel in various regions, the names and apostles of nations, the current state of the church, ecclesiastical province titles, the number of clergy. Half-leather binding, spine adorned with a beautiful crown at the foot, corners rubbed, otherwise in beautiful condition. This pamphlet is directed against the Encyclopedists, derogatorily referred to as "Cacouacs". Moreau later became the librarian for the young Marie-Antoinette.
