Each volume features an engraved frontispiece by Charles Thompson with volume number (Vicar, II, 300). Missing 6 volumes: Literary Miscellanies, Miscellanies and Poems, Moses, Natchez (volume two), Discourses and Opinions, Freedom of the Press, and Analytical Index. A desirable set of this landmark first collective edition, noted by Clouzot as 'the most important and most sought-after' version, with several volumes in their original first edition state.
