Yvana Stella was born on November 26, 1945[] has Algiers[].
She grew up in Algiers, São Paulo, Rome and Monaco[]. She trained at the art school of Rome in 1965 and in Paris in 1981[. In 1995 she became involved in municipal politics in Paris[]. She is buried with her husband Gérard Sakon in the cemetery of Chalo-Saint-Mars. 
Her first paintings are still lifes then she is inspired by ancient Rome, she also creates mythological scenes and subjects linked to Venice[]. She composes portraits of Lionel Jospin using newspaper collages.[]. She designs sculptures from various materials collected on the beaches of Mare Nostrum.[].
