The text was first published in 1934 and 1935 in the journal La Géographie. « The author (1909-1956), after participating in the trip, became the historian of the Korrigane’s cruise around the world. Coming from the Galapagos, the Korrigane arrives in the Marquesas Islands where she stays from August 20 to September 8. We are in Tahiti on September 14, then on October 31, via Moorea, and Bora Bora, we reach New Zealand » (O’Reilly).
