At the expense of the artist, 1947. Paris, paperback ; in-4°, Sheet by sheet in folder & cardboard case, the plates were produced in the workshops of G. Duval in Paris and COLORIED entirely by hand by René Euffès in Paris – i.e. 8 plates by André Hamburg – Presentation and legends by Philippe Lorraine.
Missing 4 plates out of the 12 announced plates, one of the few HC copies reserved for tributes.
André Hamburg, war correspondent and painter to the French armies, saw Berchtesgaden the day after the Leclerc Division planted the French flag on the summit of Hitler’s Berghof, in May 1945.
