Two-volume set by Jean SAULAY and collaborators, published in Paris by La Koumia in 1985. Hardcover with restored spine using transparent adhesive tape, corner wear, interior in excellent condition. Richly illustrated with black-and-white photographs, documents, maps, and plans, both in-text and out-of-text. Volume 1: 495 pages (frontispiece featuring a color portrait of Marshal LYAUTEY) covering Morocco’s pacification and unification (1908–1934). Volume 2: 595 pages covering World War II and the post-war period (1934–1956), authored by Yves SALKIN and Jacques MORINEAU. One of 400 copies on coated paper, here no. 141.
