Armorial of Brittany containing the names and first names of the Breton families who obtained decrees from the chamber of reformation established in Rennes, from 1668 to 1671, the date of the old reformations and the known origin of these families, or the number of their generations until 1668; families maintained or ennobled from this time until 1789; families ennobled under the Empire and the Restoration until 1830; noble families who, although from another province, came to live in Brittany and contracted alliances there; the names of the lands erected in dignity; the mottos of some families with their crests lithographed in colors.

The author’s coat of arms (dry stamp), is present on each of the plates « Azure with a chevron Or accompanied in chief by three besans of the same with a border engrailed Argent. »
